Today’s verse for anxiety

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

Peace here is a guard posted at the door of your mind. You are not asked to produce it. You are asked to hand something over.

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1 Peter 5:7

All of it. Not the presentable part.

6 / 6

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27

The world's peace depends on your circumstances changing. His does not.

A word from Pastor Stan

Anxiety is not proof that your faith is failing. It is often proof that you are carrying something you were never built to carry alone. The people of the white flag learned this by surrendering daily, not perfectly. You wave the flag, you tell God the truth about the fear, and you read one verse instead of scrolling one more hour. That is the whole practice. It works because it moves your attention from the thing you cannot control to the One who is not shaken by it.

Pray this, as it is

Lord, my mind is loud and I am tired of managing it by myself. I give You the thing I keep rehearsing. Guard my heart tonight. Let me sleep, and let me wake up trusting You with the day I have not seen yet. Amen.

You don’t have to read alone.

We are the people of the white flag — a community that surrenders daily and reads the Bible together. Come read tomorrow’s passage with us.
